usedocs works with AI coding agents and chat apps through its MCP server, and with any agent or pipeline through the Docs API. An agent can search and read your articles, edit them, review the edits usedocs proposes with their diffs, write changelog entries, and send the change you're working on so usedocs proposes the doc edits it needs. Nothing goes live until someone applies it.
Developer tools
- MCP servers: the workspace server for managing your docs, and the docs server for answering from them.
- Docs API: the same operations over HTTP, for scripts and other agents.
- Update the docs from CI: send each merged change from GitHub Actions or GitLab CI.
AI coding agents and apps
- Claude: claude.ai and Claude desktop, as a custom connector.
- Claude Code: one command, then sign in.
- Cursor: add to Cursor, then sign in.
- ChatGPT: an app in developer mode.
- Codex CLI: a few lines in config.toml.
- Other MCP clients: any client that connects to a remote MCP server.
Each teammate connects their own tool with a usedocs sign-in and acts as themselves. In the dashboard, the same steps are in Integrations → AI clients, where connected clients are listed and can be disconnected.
