The usedocs assistant answers from your help center and hands the conversation to your team when the docs do not cover a question. With Microsoft Teams connected, each handoff and each new lead posts to the channel you chose. The handed off question also joins the gap list, where usedocs drafts the article that would answer the next customer. Teams is an alert path; customers keep getting answers on your help center and widget.
Set it up
- Create an incoming webhook. In the Teams channel, add an incoming webhook and copy its URL.
- Paste it into usedocs. In the dashboard, open Integrations, find Microsoft Teams under Alerts, and paste the URL.
- Test it. Ask the assistant something your docs do not cover and check the channel.
What it does
- Handoff alerts. The question and a conversation link in your Teams channel.
- Lead alerts. New leads from the widget, for follow up.
- Incoming webhook. No bot to host or approve beyond your tenant's connector policy.
- Feeds the gap list. Handed off questions become gaps with drafted articles.
Good to know
- Alerts cover handoffs and new leads; edits and drafts wait in the dashboard's review queue.
- Webhook URLs are secrets: rotate them if one leaks and update usedocs.
- Delivery is queued, so expect seconds, not milliseconds.
- Your tenant's connector policies decide whether incoming webhooks are allowed.
